Simone Biles
Simone Biles was an American gymnast born March 14, 1997 in the city of Columbus, Ohio. Biles is believed to be one of the greatest athletes. As the only U.S. female gymnast, Biles was the only one to achieve four golds in the same Games at the 2016 Olympics. Biles is also the first to hold three world championships in succession. Biles together with her twins Adria Biles and Ronald Biles were taken in as infants by their grandparents from Houston. Simone's interest in gymnastics began at the age of six when she took a trip with her day-care group to Bannon Gymnastix. Simone remained under Aimee Borman as coach until 2011. Biles was awarded a silver medal in vaulting in the year 2010 as well as a bronze at the women's Junior Olympic National Championships. Biles then advanced to the level of elite competition in 2011. Within two years, she won the event. Biles stood out by her consistent performance, her exuberant attitude and the level of difficulty that she included every event - vault bars that were uneven as well as balance beams and ground work.
